AromaZorg Zuster is een initiatief van Madeleine Kerkhof. Het komt voort uit ruim 25 jaar kennis, kunde en passie van Madeleine, naadloos aangevuld door haar man Kees. Samen geven zij hun liefde en toewijding aan elkaar en het vak om het welzijn van patiënten maximaal te ondersteunen met integere natuurzuivere producten met hart en intentie.
AromaZorg Zuster biedt pure producten met zuivere eerlijke aromatische oliën van veelal ambachtelijke en minstens zo eerlijke producenten, die we met zorg, expertise en aandacht voor detail, veiligheid en comfort bereiden. We gaan niet voor de massa, maar leveren onze mooie producten veel aan de zorg zoals hospices, thuiszorg, ziekenhuizen en verpleeghuizen, waar kwaliteit en zuiverheid het belangrijkst zijn, en tevens aan particulieren en therapeuten.
Oprichter Madeleine Kerkhof
Madeleine (1962) is de motor achter AromaZorg Zuster. Eens een “zuster” in de verpleegkunde frustreerde het haar dat in de verpleegkunde van 40 jaar eerder vooral gesproken werd over de diagnose, en niet over de patient met de diagnose. Haar holistische visie op ziekte en gezondheid waar de mens centraal staat leidde in 1998 tot de start van De Levensboom, een praktijk voor natuurgeneeskunde die in 23 jaar uitgroeide tot een bloeiend bedrijf met een assortiment excellente aromatische producten voor optimale patientenzorg die de hele wereld over gingen.
Sinds 2010 is Madeleine Global Director van Kicozo, het KennisInstituut Integratieve & Complementaire Zorg, waarin zij als Expert en Senior Opleider complementaire zorg een fijn team docenten leidt. Madeleine is een wereldwijd gerenommeerd specialist en vakdocent op het gebied van complementaire zorg in de zorg, met als speciale aandachtsgebieden AromaZorg, Massage en AquaZorg.
Daarnaast is Madeleine de auteur van diverse boeken, waaronder het recent (mei 2020) gepubliceerde boek Klinische AromaZorg, Aromatherapie voor Zorg & Praktijk, maar ook van het unieke boek Complementaire Zorg in de Palliatieve Zorgverlening (2013/2016), dat in zowel het Nederlands, als het Engels (2015) verscheen. Zij schrijft ook regelmatig science based artikelen voor nationale en internationale vakbladen en blogs over onderwerpen die haar na aan het hart liggen in de zorg.
Madeleine is een veelgevraagd gastspreker op symposia, congressen in binnen- en buitenland. Palliatieve en terminale zorg, maar ook de oncologie en ouderen- en dementiezorg hebben haar bijzondere aandacht. Haar passie is het verbinden van standaard zorg met complementaire zorg tot complete zorg, met aandacht voor de mens in al zijn dimensies.
Sinds 23 maart 2021 is Madeleine’s AromaZorg Zuster de expert op het gebied van aromatische bereidingen en producten, hoog gespecialiseerd voor toepassingen in zorg en praktijk. Het zijn slimme en praktische, maar ook bijzondere producten, gebaseerd op ruim 25 jaar ervaring, kennis, kunde en onderbouwd door studies. Kees, Madeleine’s echtgenoot is haar steun en toeverlaat, rots en partner in alles.
Met dit bedrijf hoopt Madeleine samen met hem bij te kunnen dragen aan kwaliteit van leven van patiënten en hun naasten.

Founder Madeleine Kerkhof
Madeleine (1962) is the driving force behind AromaCare Nurse. Once a “Nurse” in a hospital setting, she was frustrated that in those days, 40 years earlier, the focus was on the diagnosis and not on the patient with the diagnosis. Her holistic vision disease and health and how we should see and hear the patient as a whole led to the start of De Levensboom in 1998, a naturopathy practice that grew into a thriving business over 23 years with a range of excellent aromatic products for optimal patient care being sent all over the world.
Since 2010, Madeleine has been the Global Director of Kicozo, the Knowledge Institute Integrative & Complementary (Nursing) Care, in which she leads an excellent team of teachers as an Expert and Senior Educator for complementary therapies and integrative nursing. Madeleine is a globally renowned specialist and educator, with special interest and expertise in AromaCare (aromatherapy), Massage and AquaCare.
Madeleine is also the author of several books, including the recently (May 2020) published book Clinical AromaCare, Aromatherapy for Healthcare & Practice (sorry, in Dutch only), but also of the unique book Complementary Nursing in End of Life Care (2016). She also publishes science-based articles for national and international professional journals and blogs on topics that are close to her heart in healthcare.
Madeleine is a much sought-after speaker at seminars and conferences all over the globe. Palliative and terminal care, but also oncology and care for the elderly and patients with dementia have her special attention. Her passion is connecting standard care with complementary and integrative care to the most complete health care, as opposed to “sick care” with optimum attention for the individual in its full dimensions.
Since March 23, 2021, Madeleine’s AromaCare Nurse is the leading expert in the field of aromatic preparations and products, highly specialized for applications in healthcare and private practice. They are based on more than 25 years of experience, knowledge, skills and underpinned by studies. Kees, Madeleine’s husband is her support, rock and partner in everything.
